All Things Bright & Beautiful Preschool

All Things Bright and Beautiful is a ministry of Church of the Holy Comforter, an Episcopal church located just blocks from Lake Michigan. We welcome children into a loving, faith-based community where we celebrate all spiritual growth. Founded in 1994, All Things Bright and Beautiful Preschool is a DCFS-licensed early childhood education program serving the nearby communities of Kenilworth, Winnetka, and, Glencoe, Northfield, and Wilmette. Each day, children engage in active learning through art processes, music, circle time, sensory table explorations, stories, and free play opportunities. We subscribe to a play-based philosophy and child-centered curriculum, providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that is designed to encourage social and emotional growth, build self-esteem, and foster success. Our staff are passionate about early childhood education and partnering with families to provide a powerful, positive experience for our children.

PEER Services provides community-based substance use prevention and treatment services to teens, adults and families in Northern Cook County, including Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. PEER Services reduces the harms of substance use, addiction and stigma by engaging youth and adults with innovative prevention programming and by supporting people on their path to recovery through holistic, evidence-based treatment. A total of six windows were reported smashed late Friday night at a pair of Lake Avenue businesses in Wilmette. It’s hard to find a director that hasn’t been influenced by John Ford, whose classics like Stagecoach (1939) and The Searchers (1956) helped define the look and feel of American cinema. Across the globe, Akira Kurosawa was creating equally important and influential works such as Rashomom (1950) and Seven Samurai (1954)—films that continue to inspire directors today.
Held at the newly renovated Glen Rowan House, this five-week course will explore the art of filmmaking through selected works by these two titans of the film medium, and discover how movies communicate emotion, ideas, and meaning through images—and why their films still matter today. The opening and closing sessions will begin with a social reception featuring food and refreshments.
Both the educational content and social receptions will offer opportunities to build community, engage with College leadership, and learn more about ongoing campus initiatives.

Rosemont Uncorked returns to Parkway Bank Park in Rosemont on June 6–7, 2026, with two days of outdoor wine tasting, live music, and easy access from Chicago and the suburbs.
