Ready for Independence Day? The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and we've got a complete list of area fireworks for the nation’s 241st birthday. Some of the events listed below include celebrations extending throughout the day, while others focus fully on fireworks after dusk.
FOURTH OF JULY PARADE - 10:00 AM
Begins at Elm Street & Glendale Avenue and heads east to the Village Green
Watch and support local organizations and your fellow neighbors as they march in Winnetka's Annual Fourth of July Parade along with Orchestras, Pipe Bands, Dixieland Bands, jugglers, Uncle Sam on stilts and so much more! The parade steps off from the intersection of Elm Street and Glendale Avenue and heads east through town all the way to the Village Green. Family, friends and anyone in between are welcome to be a part of this patriotic event.

EVENTS ON THE GREEN - 11:00 AM
The Village Green - 525 Maple Street, Winnetka
After the parade, join us at the Village Green for the traditional flag-raising ceremony, children's flag parade and family races. Compete for the coveted family trophy and let the bragging rights begin

FOURTHFEST - 6:00 pm
Duke Childs Field - 1321 Willow Road, Winnetka
Come celebrate our nation's birthday at the Winnetka Park District's annual Fourthfest at Duke Childs Field. Bring dinner or purchase food while you enjoy music, food and children's activities prior to the most spectacular fireworks on the North Shore! A multitude of attractions and entertainment will be there including face-painters, balloonists, moon walks, a giant slide and so much more.

- July 4, concert begins at 7 p.m.
- Gallery Park, Glenview
- Fireworks set from the middle of Lake Glenview, viewing areas to the west, south and north of the lake.
- July 4, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. (concludes five-day Morton Grove Days festival)
- American Legion Memorial Civic Center, Morton Grove
- 9:45 p.m. fireworks follow live music.
- July 4, approximately 9:30 p.m.

- Fireworks follow afternoon parades at dusk.

- 3-D Fireworks follow parade and 6:30 p.m. concert. (First 10,000 patrons receive free 3-D glasses.)
