Advisory Group Opposes Water Treatment Facility on Beach
Building facility on a Glencoe beach would give up one of village's "crown jewels," group member says.

The advisory group assembled by the Glencoe Park District on the possible construction of a new water treatment plant on current Park District beach property is completely opposed to the idea, according to one member who drafted a resolution describing such.
Jon Ruderman, a participant in the Park District’s Beach and Lakefront Advisory Group and a village resident for more than 50 years, told the Park District board at its May 19 meeting that he does not believe a new water treatment plant would be appropriate for the Glencoe Beach or on the adjacent Perlman Park - according to the Glencoe News.
Ruderman said the group’s decision to draft the resolution opposed to the possibility was unanimous.
