Glencoe, Northfield and Winnetka Police Blotters: June 14 - June 20

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Glencoe, Winnetka and Northfield police departments as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. Anyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty. Criminal charges represent merely accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
An employee discovered that someone defaced a men's bathroom stall using a black permanent marker between 9 a.m. on June 11 and 8 a.m. on June 12 at Hubbard Woods Park.

THEFT
A resident in the 1100 block of Willow Road reported that someone carried out improper driveway sealcoating around 3 p.m. on June 7 for a $500 loss.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
An employee at Hubbard Woods Park reported that someone used a black permanent markers to deface the men's bathroom wall between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. on June 13 for $500 in repair costs.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
At 9:49 p.m. on June 15, police discovered that someone had used a permanent marker to deface the men's bathroom walls at Hubbard Woods Park sometime after 6:10 p.m. that day.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
An officer discovered someone used a blue permanent marker to deface bathrooms stalls at Hubbard Woods Park between 6:30 p.m. on June 16 and 5:07 p.m. on June 17.

THEFT
Someone stole a locked bicycle worth $300 between 7 p.m. on June 16 and 8:30 a.m. on June 17 from the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
Someone vandalized various park district equipment and signs in the 200 block of Woodlawn Avenue with an unspecified form of graffiti sometime prior to 11:46 a.m. on June 14. And someone vandalized the rear door of a business in the 10 block of Green Bay Road with graffiti of an unspecified form sometime prior to the morning of June 18. In both cases the damage was less than $300.

IDENTITY THEFT (AGGRAVATED)
Someone created an online Social Security Administration account using the name of a Harbor Street resident and changed the address associated with the account. The resident was able to restore their records and placed a fraud alert on all their accounts. At the time of the report on the afternoon of June 18, no fraudulent transactions had taken place.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 31-year-old Chicago man was pulled over around 2 a.m. on June 15 while driving down Green Bay Road and ticketed for improper lane usage and possession of cannabis.

A 23-year-old Lake Villa woman was arrested around 4 a.m. on June 15 and charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, suspended registration and no insurance following a traffic stop near the intersection of Dundee and Vernon avenues.

A 26-year-old Skokie man was pulled over around 5:45 p.m. on June 17 near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Washington Avenue and cited for speeding an unspecified amount over the limit and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.

Felicia D. Gillman, 55, of the 500 block of Clavey Road in Highland Park, was arrested at 8:18 p.m. on June 18 and charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, domestic battery and leaving the scene of a property damage crash. NORTHFIELD

INCIDENTS

MYSTERIOUS INCIDENTS
A Bridlewood Lane resident reported a trio of suspicious circumstances at 5:28 p.m. on June 14. The incidents may be related, the resident told police. Personal documents were reported missing. Minor damage was found to a garage. An archery arrow was found sticking out of the ground in the backyard.

FALSE SUBSCRIPTIONS
A resident of Greamere Street reported on the afternoon of June 16 that they had started getting bills for magazine subscriptions they neither wanted nor had ordered. The subscriptions were eventually cancelled at no cost to the resident.
