Join us at The Book Stall on Thursday, August 14 at 6:00 pm for a discussion and book signing featuring James Baisley, author of A Grandfather's Advice on How to Succeed in Business. Law School Professor Michael Ambrosio says, "All who read this short book will find it to be enjoyable reading and an excellent supplement to business or law school courses on corporations and professional responsibility." Whether you're just starting your career or mentoring the next generation, this book is a timeless guide to building a meaningful, ethical, and successful life in business.

More About the Book: In a world where business decisions are often driven by profit alone, Baisley offers a refreshing and powerful reminder: doing what is right is not only ethical — it's essential for long-term success. Drawing on over four decades of experience as a corporate lawyer and General Counsel, James Baisley distills a lifetime of wisdom into twelve practical, principle-based guidelines for navigating the business world with integrity.

This book is both a personal memoir and a professional manual. With stories that span boardrooms, courtrooms, and classrooms, Baisley speaks directly to young professionals, seasoned executives, and anyone who believes that business can — and should — be a force for good.

TV Anchor and Producer Bill Kurtis says, “This book is more than just another business advice book. The phrase 'grandfather’s advice' gives it away. Assembled from decades of personal experience, James Baisley imparts a code for life itself with an emphasis on career in business."

More About the Author: James Baisley: James Baisley is a graduate of Fordham College and Law School. He served in the Marine Corps in Korea and Japan and was the General Counsel and a director of several American businesses. He and his wife, Barbara, have eight children, 28 grandchildren, and, so far, nine great grandchildren. In retirement, Jim is devoting his time to providing legal assistance to wounded Marines.
