Metra Train Strikes Person in Wilmette
Chicago-to-Winnetka bound train struck the individual around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, reports state.

A Union Pacific North Line Metra train struck a person in Wilmette Tuesday afternoon.
Train No.331 left Chicago at 3:20 p.m. and was due to arrive in Winnetka at 3:56 p.m. when it struck the pedestrian at 3:50 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune.
As a result of the investigation, inbound and outbound trains were being halted near Wilmette.

Outbound trains scheduled to leave the Ogilvie Transportation Center were being held, as a result of the accident.
The person’s condition is not yet known.
