NSSD 112 Superintendent Resigns

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - North Shore School District 112 Superintendent Dr. Michael Bregy has announced his resignation, effective at the end of January, to become the superintendent of the Beverly HIlls Unified School District in California.

DHS Senior Achieves Perfect Score on SAT

DEERFIELD, IL - Jake Chanan is in elite company after scoring a perfect 1600 on the SAT last month. Involved heavily at DHS as a mathlete, Scholastic Bowl team captain and baseball pitcher, Chanan was not required to take the SAT but chose to take the test because he is seeking status as a National Merit semifinalist.

District Postpones Plan to Close Schools, Layoff Teachers

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - A plan to close four schools in North Shore School District 112 has been postponed as the district focuses on finding a replacement for Bregy.

Principal Plans Move to Neighboring District

LINCOLNWOOD, IL - Fairview South Elementary School Principal David Russo has been hired to serve as the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in Lincolnwood School District 74 beginning next year, according to a report from the Skokie Review. Russo will replace Kim Nasshan, who become superintendent in District 74 after the retirement of Joseph Bailey.

Pleasant Ridge Principal Steps Down

GLENVIEW, IL - Principal Frank Rottman will no longer be principal at Pleasant Ridge after Dec. 31 after submitting his resignation citing health issues.
