Northfield Teen Charged With Illegal Possession Of Ammo: Blotter
Incidents and arrests from the Winnetka, Glencoe and Northfield police blotters from Jan. 30 to Feb. 6.

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Glencoe, Winnetka and Northfield police departments as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. Criminal charges represent merely accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Anyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFTS
- Someone used the identity of a Trapp Lane resident to open up an unauthorized Nordstrom credit card between Jan. 23 and Jan. 27. There was no loss at the time of the Jan. 28 report.
- A Sheridan Road resident reported on the afternoon of Feb. 2 that someone had used their identity to open up an unauthorized FedEx account between Dec. 16 and Jan. 23 and charged $484.83 to the account.
- The identity of an Arbor Vitae Road resident was used in an attempt to open an Amazon Business American Express credit card between Jan. 28 and Feb. 2. There was no loss reported.
- A Toward Road resident reported on the evening of Feb. 2 that someone racked up more than $5,000 in charges after using their identity to open up accounts with PayPal, Verizon and Zales. Attempts to open Merrick Bank Corp. and Sears accounts were unsuccessful.
EMAIL SCAM
A Pine Street resident contacted police on Jan. 29 to report that someone had sent them a deceptive email between 11:27 a.m. and 1:53 p.m. on Jan. 27 that requested iTunes gift cards. There was no loss reported.

ARRESTS
A 26-year-old Des Plaines woman was arrested around 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Willow Road.

INCIDENTS
AGGRAVATED FLEEING, ELUDING
Around 1:45 a.m. on Feb. 4, a vehicle that would later be reported stolen refused to stop when Glencoe police tried to pull it over in the area of Green Bay Road and Harbor Street, running a stop sign and a red light.

BANK SCAM
A Drexel Avenue resident reported an incident of possible identity theft on the evening of Feb. 4. The resident clicked on a link to change a Citibank AAdvantage account number. The link did not work, so the resident called an associated phone number and was asked to enter the last four digits of the account number. An automated request next asked for the resident's social security number. The resident provided the number but became suspicious, hung up and later contacted CitiBank to learn that the number was fraudulent.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Mary Street resident reported on the evening of Feb. 5 that someone had tried to change their address on file with the U.S. Postal Service. The resident was notified of the request by USPS and explained the attempted change was unauthorized.
ARRESTS
A 19-year-old Highland Park woman was issued a citation for possession of a small amount of cannabis around 2:45 a.m. on Feb. 2 near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Woodlawn Avenue.
Daniel B. Huber, 18, of the 600 block of Briar Lane, Northfield, was arrested around 11 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the 400 block of Park Avenue and charged with possession of an unspecified amount of ammunition without a valid firearm license. No further information was immediately available from police.
NORTHFIELD
INCIDENTS
SUSPICIOUS FOOTPRINTS
On Jan. 30, a homeowner in the 2200 block of Bracken Lane requested a special watch at their house after returning home from vacation to discover footprints in the snow around the home. Police did not find any evidence that anyone had attempted to get into the home.
ARRESTS
A 24-year-old Wheeling man was arrested around 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 29 in the area of Willow and Sunset Ridge roads and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was also ticketed for speeding 54 mph in a 30 mph zone.
A 21-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 in the area of Willow and Sunset Ridge roads and charged speeding 26 mph or more over the limit following a traffic stop for driving 57 mph in a 30 mph zone.
A 24-year-old Northbrook man was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 and charged speeding 26 mph or more over the limit following a traffic stop for driving 56 mph in a 30 mph zone.
A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 2300 block of Willow Road and charged with driving with a suspended license.
