'Sorriso' brings smiles to North Shore Art League Celebrants at Benefit
Performance by the chamber group 'Sorriso' enhanced the North Shore Art League Members' Art Show Benefit/90th Birthday Celebration on Sept 5

Four exceptionally talented high school musicians of the chamber group, ‘Sorriso’, delighted 200 guests at the combined North Shore Art League’s Members’ Art Show Benefit /90th Birthday Celebration on Friday evening, September 5 with their inspiring performance. The quartet, with violinist Emelia Suljic of Winnetka, violist Rene Chen of Wilmette, cellist Angela Lee of Wilmette, and pianist Amber Scherer of Winnetka, performed a diverse repertoire of classical music by Schumann, Mozart, Haydn, Rachmaninoff, Bach and Bloch at the acoustically rich Winnetka Community House.
Their beautiful music enhanced a successful evening celebrating NSAL’s 90th milestone -- together with outstanding original art by NSAL faculty, art league members, and other well known exhibiting artists, creative Art-in-Bloom interpretations by renowned local garden club arrangers and florists, enticing silent auction offerings, and a split-the-pot raffle.
