Winnetka Accepting Nominations For Village Preservation Awards Program
The village is seeking nominations for restoration, rehabilitation and new construction projects completed in five years.
WINNETKA, IL — Winnetka is accepting nominations for its annual Preservation Awards program, which recognizes exterior construction projects that have helped preserve the history and character of the community.
The program is run by the Village of Winnetka's Historic Preservation Commission.
According to the village, award categories include restoration, rehabilitation and new construction. Eligible projects must have been completed within the last five years.

The Preservation Awards program is aimed at highlighting projects tied to Winnetka's historic character. Based on the village's announcement, the focus is on exterior work across several property types, rather than one specific neighborhood or building category.
The village said single-family residential, commercial and multi-family residential, and public or institutional properties may be nominated. Residents may also nominate their own home for consideration.

Nomination forms for this year's program are due by May 28. The village said award winners will be named at a Village Council meeting later this year.
