Donate to Special Olympics Friday, Get a Free Donut

The Woodridge Police Department will once again participate in "Cop on Top" Friday from 5 a.m. to noon.

Want to receive a free donut for donating to a great cause? 

Join the  from 5 a.m. to noon Friday in supporting the Special Olympics of Illinois during " 

Police officers will be volunteering at both Woodridge Dunkin' Donuts locations ( and 1920 87th St.) and asking for donations. Everyone who donates will receive a coupon for a free donut.

Those who donate $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug, while supplies last. The mug gets you free refills at participating Dunkin’ Donuts stores on Friday.

Last year, the Woodridge Police Department raised $3,100 during the event. Donations will be used to sponsor Illinois athletes participating in Special Olympics events.

Why is it called "Cop on Top?"

A police officer will be on the roof of the Dunkin' Donuts, and only donations can get him or her down.
