Lemont Fire Protection District Trustee Leaves Board
Trustee Richard Rimbo has resigned, effective Oct. 16.

Lemont Fire Protection District Trustee Richard Rimbo has announced that he has stepped down from his role, effective Oct. 16.
“The Board of Trustees graciously accepted Mr. Rimbo’s letter with their gratitude and appreciation for his time and dedication to the Lemont Fire Protection District,” during their Oct. 16, regular Board meeting, according to a statement from the district. Trustee Rimbo retired from the Citgo Refinery last year and wishes to spend his retirement with his wife, Susan, their children and grandchildren.
Trustee Rimbo has served on the Lemont Fire District Board of Trustees since April 2001. During this time, working together with the present Board of Trustees, “the fire district has achieved financial stability, increased manpower, new administrative positions, and positive labor management relations,” according to the release.
