SEX OFFENDER MAP: Homes To Watch In Woodridge This Halloween

There are eighteen registered sex offenders in Woodridge. Find out where.

Woodridge currently has 18 registered sex offenders listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.

Fourteen are currently living in the community, two are incarcerated in the Illinois Department of Corrections, and one is missing.

Authorities say that David M. Kauthe, 29, fled the address given on registration records without notification. Kauthe was convicted of criminal sexual abuse. He was 21 and his victim was 15 at the time of the offense.

Sexual predator Jonathan Lopez, 24, registers every week with local police because he is currently homeless. Lopez was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He was 17 and his victim was eight years old at the time of the offense.

Registered sex offenders are prohibited from passing out candy on Halloween. They may not appear in a Halloween costume or other child-centered holiday character, such as Santa or the Easter Bunny, in public. Registered sex offenders, however, may wear a Halloween costume in their home, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.

Pins on the map represent addresses of offenders convicted of sex crimes. Roll your cursor over the pins, and you will see more information pop up, including the registered sex offender’s name, address, current age, convictions, and the age of the offender and victim at the time of the offense.

You may want to avoid trick or treating at these houses and apartments on Halloween, or merely be aware of who’s living in your neighborhood during the rest of the year.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Department also maintains a registry, where DuPage County residents can search for offenders living in their area.
