Woodridge Police Looking for Man Who Attempted to Lure 14-Year-Old-Girl

Police describe him as a late 30s or early 40s white man without facial hair. They say he has pale skin, a bald head and he's heavy set.

A man approached a 14-year-old girl around 4 p.m. Monday at the Downers Grove North High School bus stop, according to a post on the Woodridge Police Department’s Facebook page.

The girl ran away and reported the incident to police, who are now trying to find the man.

Police describe him as a white man without facial hair in his late 30s or early 40s. They reported he has pale skin, a shaved or bald head and he is “heavy set.”

He was driving a “run-down, older model, four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.” The back windows of the car are tinted and the bottom of the car is rusty. The license plate might have the number nine in it, according to Woodridge police.

The bus stop where he approached the girl was at Audubon Drive and Janeswood Avenue in Woodridge. The man was wearing a short-sleeve T-shirt and a black baseball cap, worn backward.

Police say there haven’t been any similar incidents in the area.

The Woodridge Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the offender and the car. Call the Woodridge Detective Unit at 630-719-4732 with any information on the offender and/or vehicle. Call 911 to report any suspicious activity.
