
The Board of Police Commissioners appoints and promotes Woodridge police officers through the rank of sergeant, and the village is looking for a new commissioner to serve on the board.
An well-suited commissioner would be a professional with a background in supervision, management or personnel, according to the village. The term of a commissioner is three years.
The mayor, with advice and concent from the Board of Trustees, appoints the five members of the Board of Police Commissioners.

Anyone who would like to volunteer their time to serve on the Board of Police Commissioners should submit a letter including qualifications for the position, references and a resume to Mayor Gina Cunningham (5 Plaza Drive, Woodridge, IL 60517) by Jan. 5, 2015.
