• Greenfield, Buck Creek Township departments partner to train nine new firefighters (greenfieldreporter.com) — Nine new probationary firefighters have just joined the Greenfield Fire Territory and Buck Creek Township after completing a first-of-its-kind joint academy in Hancock County. Over eight weeks, recruits trained together using shared facilities and instructors, building relationships that should improve coordination on future fire and accident responses in and around Greenfield.

• MV's Lemmon adds conference champion to list of titles (greenfieldreporter.com) — Greenfield-Central golfers earned All-Hoosier Heritage Conference honors, with Rylee Conaway shooting an 88 to tie for 10th and lead the Cougars to a fifth-place team finish. Mt. Vernon's Ressie Lemmon captured the conference title with a three-under 69, and Greenfield-Central is set to tee off again in a tri-match at Hawk's Tail of Greenfield.
