Police Arrest Woman They Believe Shot, Killed Grandmother On City's East Side
DETAILS: IMPD officials said 22-year-old Kaycee Anderson has been apprehended after Wednesday afternoon shooting.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reports the suspect wanted for the Wednesday shooting death of an elderly woman on the city's east side has been apprehended. Police said 22-year-old Kaycee Anderson was taken into custody near 56th and Post Road Wednesday afternoon. They believe Anderson shot and killed her grandmother in the 6000 block of E. 21st St.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a woman they believe allegedly shot and killed her grandmother just after 12 p.m. Wednesday on the city's east side. Officials are searching for 22-year-old Kaycee Anderson (pictured) who they believe to be armed and dangerous. IMPD said the shooting took place in the 6000 block of E. 21st St, where they found a 64-year-old woman unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and detectives learned the alleged suspect had direct involvement in the elderly woman's death.

Suspect Kaycee Anderson is described as being 5'7, 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Officials say Anderson was last seen driving a silver or gray Chevy Colbalt with a spoiler on the back, possibly heading to the area of E 10th St and Jefferson Ave.

Again, Anderson is considered armed and dangerous and police warn anyone who sees her to not approach, but call 911 immediately.
