IN Sunday Alcohol Sales Bill Heads To Gov. After Senate Approval
Indiana Senate votes in approval of Sunday carryout alcohol sales, which will bring bill to Governor Eric Holcomb for final approval: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — A bill legalizing Sunday carryout alcohol sales in Indiana will soon reach its final destination - Governor Eric Holcomb - after the Indiana Senate approved the bill Thursday. AP News reports the state Senate voted 38-10 to give final legislative approval to repealing the state’s Sunday alcohol sales ban. Gov. Holcomb said Thursday he has a pen ready and “won’t let too many Sundays pass” before signing the bill that was also approved by the Indiana House last week, according to AP News.
The ban has been in place since the Prohibition area, and lawmakers have debated ending it for decades. However, that changed this year as Republican leaders supported the end of the ban.
