• State Supreme Court halts ballot distribution while it considers recount of 3-vote senate primary race (newsnowwarsaw.com) — Indiana's Supreme Court has paused mailing general-election ballots in Tippecanoe and five nearby counties while it reviews a three-vote Republican primary recount between Sen. Spencer Deery of West Lafayette and challenger Paula Copenhaver. The decision could determine who represents Lafayette-area residents in Senate District 23 and temporarily delays ballots listing that race, though other ballot preparations continue on schedule.
   

• Tippecanoe Latino Festival canceled amid ICE raids in Indianapolis (jconline.com) — Organizers have canceled next weekend's Tippecanoe Latino Festival in Columbian Park, citing concern for community safety after recent ICE raids and detainments in Indianapolis. The Latino Center for Wellness and Education says it will focus on sharing resources and support instead, and hopes to bring the popular Lafayette event back in 2027 for local families and vendors.
