• NWI Forum Announces Regional Process for Redevelopment Tax Credit Applications (buildingindiana.com) — Northwest Indiana communities, including those in Porter County, are being urged to submit redevelopment tax credit project proposals by September 30, ahead of the state's October 31 deadline. Local governments, developers, and nonprofits can seek support for transforming vacant or underused properties, especially placemaking and quality-of-life projects, through the Northwest Indiana Forum's coordinated regional process.

Through Indiana's District 1 Response Task Force, departments coordinate drills, share intelligence, and improve equipment and training so local officers, schools, and hospitals can respond more effectively if a major emergency hits Northwest Indiana.
