ABC affiliate Channel 5 announced Thursday that John Walters is leaving and coming to Iowa State Univeristy to work in the Athletic Department.
Walters has worked for Channel 5 for the last 16 years. He said on Thursday that he will leave the station in June, the Des Moines Register reported.
Commenters on Cyclonefanatic.com said it seemed a sensible move.
