Ames City Offices Closed Nov. 11 For Veterans Day

Most City of Ames departments and divisions will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11, in recognition of Veterans Day. The exceptions include:

• The Community Center, located in City Hall, 515 Clark Ave., will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Ames/ISU Ice Arena will be open for public skating from 8 to 9:30 p.m. To sign up for Public Skate, visit www.amesparkrec.org
• Municipal Pool will be open for its regular Wednesday schedule of adult lap swim, shallow water fitness, and swim lessons. For specific hours and to register, visit www.amesparkrec.org
• CyRide buses will run a regular weekday schedule. For more information about bus schedules, visit www.cyride.com
• The Ames Public Library lobby, 515 Douglas Ave., will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for limited “grab and go” services. For more information, visit www.amespubliclibrary.org
• Administrative offices at the Resource Recovery Plant, 110 Center Ave., will be closed, but the plant will be open for regular service from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Story County Clerk of Court Office and the District Associate Court, located in Ames City Hall, also will be closed.
