Ames' Final No-Charge Yard Waste Day Is Saturday

The final No-Charge Yard Waste Day of the fall season will be Saturday, Nov. 30, at GreenRU (formerly Chamness Technology), 400 Freel Drive. This no-charge day is for leaves and grass clippings only. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those participating in No-Charge Yard Waste Days are asked to enter the site from Dayton Avenue, travel west on Southeast Fifth Street, and north on Freel Drive. Participants should exit north on Freel Drive to Lincoln Way.

Participants should follow GreenRU's rules for proper yard waste disposal. For additional information or questions, call GreenRU at 515.450.0450 and leave a message.

Yard waste is not accepted at the Resource Recovery Plant (RRP).
