The community is invited to a public input session to gather feedback regarding the development of Edwards Park. The input session will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Council Chambers at Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Ave. There were be a presentation followed by a comment period.

Edwards Park is planned for the former Edwards School property, a 5-acre parcel which is located on the corner of Westwood Drive and Woodland Street. Ames Parks and Recreation staff will share results from the April input session, a conceptual park design, and tentative development timeline.

The Parks and Recreation Department manages 38 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional and wellness programs. Indoor programs are offered year-round at the Community Center, Ames/ISU Ice Arena, and Municipal Pool.
