City Of Ames Schedule For Holidays
Most City of Ames offices will also be closed Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, in observance of New Year's Day.

Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Ave., and most City of Ames offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25. Most City of Ames offices will also be closed Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, in observance of New Year’s Day.

The Community Center and Weight Room will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, and on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. The facility will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31.
Ames Municipal Pool will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25, and Thursday and Friday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2020. The Ames/ISU Ice Arena will be open for public skating from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, and closed on Friday, Dec. 25. Public skating will be offered from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. The Ames Public Library has shifted to curbside service only. The lobby is closed but holds are available by curbside pickup during library open hours. The library will be closed, and no curbside service will be available, on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25, and on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. CyRide will be operating fewer trips during the Iowa State University semester break through Jan. 24, 2021. This means shaded trips and routes noted on CyRide’s schedule, along with Moonlight Express, will not operate during this time. In addition, there will be no CyRide service on Friday, Dec. 25, or Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. Passengers are encouraged to consult CyRide's break schedules at www.cyride.com for the most current information.
Resource Recovery Plant administrative offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25, and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. The tipping floor will be closed Friday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. The tipping floor will be open from 6 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Dec. 24.
