Collaboration Place Construction In Ames Begins This Week

The first phase will include extending Collaboration Place and the associated storm sewer improvements.

March 30, 2020

The extension of Collaboration Place from Plaza Loop to South Riverside Drive in the ISU Research Park will begin the week of March 30, weather permitting.

The City of Ames has contracted with Con-Struct to complete this project. The first phase will include extending Collaboration Place and the associated storm sewer improvements. The entire project will be completed in four phases. The first phase is anticipated to take two to three months. The entire project is expected to continue for approximately seven months.

Those in the area are encouraged to take note of construction activity and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. Exercise caution when traveling near the construction area. As with all paving operations, saw cutting of joints in newly poured pavement is critical, and it may be disruptive beyond normal work hours. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
