Community Garden Meetings Set For Wednesday In Ames

This meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10. The meeting will be held via Zoom.

Ames Parks and Recreation Department is holding two virtual public input sessions on Wednesday, Feb. 10, to present and gather feedback regarding two potential community garden sites. Each site will have its own meeting.

The first meeting is regarding a potential community garden in north Ames at property west of the intersection of Harrison Road and Welbeck Drive. This meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10. The meeting will be held via Zoom. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, this will be an electronic meeting. Those who want to provide input or ask questions about this project should join the meeting at:

The Parks and Recreation Department manages 38 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional, and wellness programs.
