Colin Sonnichsen, an ISU junior, said he was more of an Iowa Hawkeye fan but said the Cyclones seemed to be having a good year.

“Like a lot of people, I'm surprised by how well they are doing,” he said.

Justin Kjar, a senior at Iowa State, said he hoped for a win on Saturday and a ranking, because it would be the first time in the five year's that he's been in school that the team actually had one.

“That would be pretty cool,” he said.

Chris Peitzman, of Huxley, said she hopes the team stays healthy.

“They've got a good year going,” Peitzman said.

Student Alex Johnson, an ISU Senior had higher hopes.

“I'm hopeful they get to a bowl game, but I don't think it will be an awesome one. They have a tough schedule.”
