ISU Plans Pregame Party for Liberty Bowl in Memphis

Iowa State University Cyclones have sold more than 12,000 ticket to the Liberty Bowl and have planned a pre-game party.

More than 12,000 Iowa State University Cyclones fans plan to attend the Liberty Bowl in Memphis Dec. 31, where ISU will face Tulsa.

It will be the team's third bowl appearance in four years and the second showdown at the Liberty Bowl in 40 years. A special pre-game celebration has also been planned for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sales of the $35 pregame tickets will be sold through Friday.

Jamie Pollard of the ISU Athletics Department tweeted Monday that 12,500 tickets had been sold to the game.

Tickets are still available for purchase, but seating will be determined at a later date. Priority seating would be given to club members and then season ticket holders and the general public. Tickets are $55. Students can buy tickets for $25.

Both the The Iowa State Alumni Association and The Cyclone Gridiron Club will sponsor bowl travel packages.

The Alumni Association bowl plans are $1,444 by air and $704 by land and include a three night stay and game tickets in the ISU section.

Gridiron Club packages will not include tickets and range from $575 to $1,200 for members and $675 to $1,300 for non members.
