Miracle Park Ribbon-Cutting Is Canceled In Ames

A celebration will be rescheduled in the spring.

Based on Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds’ proclamation regarding outdoor gatherings, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Barnes Family Inclusive Playground and Rotary Club of Ames Miracle Field scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, has been canceled. A celebration will be rescheduled in the spring. The new playground and field are located at Inis Grove Park, 2500 Duff Ave.

The Ames City Council accepted the transfer of ownership from The Ames Foundation to the City of Ames at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The construction fence around the project has been removed, and the playground and field are open to the public.
