Munn Woods Sewer Rehab Project Continues In Ames
Working days will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The next phase of the Munn Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project will begin today, June 29. This project involves repair of deficient sanitary sewer and deteriorated manholes. The goal of these repairs is to fix aging infrastructure and reduce sanitary sewer backups in the area.

The City of Ames has contracted with Visu-Sewer Inc., of Pewaukee, Wis., to complete this sewer rehabilitation project. This phase will involve lining and is expected to be completed by late August. The overall project completion date is anticipated to be Nov. 27, 2020.
Working days will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. In response to concerns regarding COVID-19, the City has instructed inspectors and the contractor to maintain a social distance of at least six feet, use gloves when necessary, and to stay home when they are sick.
