Munn Woods Sewer Rehab Starts Wednesday

Survey work and placement of staging equipment for the first phase of the Munn Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 18, weather permitting. The surveying will locate maintenance access and clearing limits for the project.

The first phase of the sewer rehabilitation project will begin Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020. The City of Ames has contracted with Visu-Sewer Inc., of Pewaukee, Wis., to complete this sewer rehabilitation project. Their subcontractor, On-Track, will be removing trees and constructing the maintenance access. Only trees greater than 10 inches in diameter and smaller trees within the clearing limits will be cut down. This phase is expected to be complete by March 31, 2020. The second phase of the sewer rehabilitation project will commence following completion of the first phase.
All construction activities will be within City of Ames property and easements, and will not prevent access to private property. Construction noise can be expected. As always, exercise caution when traveling near the construction area. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
