DEVELOPING: Pedestrian struck by train, seriously injured (iowastatedaily.com) — A person was seriously injured after being struck by a train early Wednesday at the Clark Avenue railroad crossing in Ames and was taken to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Ames police are still investigating the circumstances and have not released the victim's name, asking anyone with information to call their main line or anonymous tip line.

Iowa Baptist executive Tim Lubinus to transition to new role in Iowa (christianindex.org) — Longtime Baptist Convention of Iowa executive director Tim Lubinus will step down and, early next year, begin a new missions-focused ministry role at Cornerstone Church in Ames.
