Royce White to Rejoin NBA Houston Rockets as a Viper

ISU Cyclone Royce White has reached an agreement with the NBA team on how to treat his anxiety disorder.

Royce White an Iowa State University Cyclone drafted to the NBA Houston Rockets in June has been reinstated to his team, several media outlets are reporting.

White and the Rockets had been negotiating an agreement on how to best treat his anxiety disorder and announced an agreement over the weekend, according to CBS Sports.

White plans on reporting to the Rocket's D-League team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, on Feb. 11. That will come just a day after the Vipers are scheduled to play the Iowa Energy in Des Moines 4 p.m. Feb. 10.

The statement as reported on CBS Sports follows below:

The Houston Rockets and Royce White have today reached an agreement that addresses the major issues that they have been discussing, provides a new start, and gives Royce the best opportunity for long term success as a Houston Rocket. This has been a learning process for both parties. The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association have approved the settlement. Royce is no longer suspended and is reinstated effective immediately. He will report to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on February 11, 2013.

White recently appeared on HBO's Real Sports where he said that he understood that playing for the NBA might not be possible but that he wouldn't give up without a fight, ESPN reported.
