South Fifth Street In Ames To Open Monday
The contractor will begin the seeding and mulching today, Dec. 11, and is expected to complete this work in two days.

The South Fifth Street extension project will be substantially completed and will open to traffic from South Grand Avenue to South Duff Avenue on Monday, Dec. 14, following completion of seeding and mulching. The City of Ames has contracted with Peterson Contractors Inc. (PCI) to complete this project. The contractor will begin the seeding and mulching today, Dec. 11, and is expected to complete this work in two days.

Peterson Contractors will continue working on the two bridges on the South Grand Avenue extension project over the winter. The South Grand Avenue extension project is expected to be complete in fall 2021.
