Tar Heels, Harrison Barnes Fall Short of the Final Four

Ames native Harrison Barnes and UNC Tar Heels fell short of the final four on Sunday.

The Men's basketball team lost to Kansas after making it to the final eight. The Tar Heels also lost after making in to the final eight in the 2011 NCAA Tournament. 

Barnes covered his head with a towel after the game, according to a report in the News Observer, and said:

“We had an opportunity to win that game and we didn’t come through. I missed a lot of shots I usually make, and big-time players come through in big-time games. It wasn’t there tonight.”
