Utility Service On South Wilmoth Avenue Begins Tuesday In City Of Ames
Work to install utility service to new residential lots along the east side of South Wilmoth Avenue will begin Tuesday, weather permitting.

Work to install utility service to new residential lots along the east side of South Wilmoth Avenue will begin Tuesday, Sept. 21, weather permitting. The City of Ames has contracted with Con-Struct to complete improvements for the Baker Subdivision. Sub-contractor Rhiner’s Plumbing will be installing the utility services for the new subdivision. The utility installation project is anticipated to be completed by Dec. 11.

South Wilmoth Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Lettie to Morningside streets for the duration of the project, although residents should have access to driveways. Certain sidewalks along the east side of South Wilmoth Avenue will also be closed.
Those living or traveling in the area should use caution around the construction activity, be mindful of sidewalk detours posted in the area, and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
