Where is Iowa State Cyclone Royce White Going?

This is White's first and last season with the Cyclones.

 

Cyclone Forward Royce White announced at a press conference here in Ames Wednesday that he would enter the 2012 NBA draft.

He has already signed with an agent according to Cyclones.com, which ends the sophomore's eligibility for college ball.

White is the only player in the country to lead his team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks and was instrumental in bringing the Cyclone men's basketball team to its first NCAA tournament since 2005, Cyclones.com said.

Royce White became a trending topic during the Cyclones'  NCAA Tournament win against UCONN. Many referred to him as "The Beast" during the game. He averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds in the Cyclones two championship games.

Since White's announcement, hundreds have wished White (Highway_30) well via Twitter, including Cyclone Women's Basketball Coach Bill Fennelly who said,

“Thanks to Royce White for a great year as a Cyclone! We wish you all the best as you head to the next level!!”

White responded to all tweeting: “Once again thank you, What you've given me I take in spirit, all that I've learned I take by word to the WORLD”
