Club Blue Baton Rouge Awarded $5,000 from Perkins McKenzie Insurance

Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have awarded Perkins McKenzie Insurance Agency a 2025 Make More Happen Award for its volunteerism with Club Blue Baton Rouge, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana and providing leadership and volunteer opportunities to young professionals who aspire to positively impact youth. The award includes an initial donation of $5,000 for Club Blue Baton Rouge, which can be doubled to $10,000 by having community supporters vote online.

The Perkins McKenzie Insurance Agency and Club Blue Baton Rouge community story is highlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at www.agentgiving.com/creating-moments-with-mentors-that-help-kids-succeed/, where supporters can vote to help the team reach their donation goal. If the featured story receives a mix of at least 500 votes and comments, the $5,000 donation will be raised to $10,000. The $10,000 donation will provide essential school supplies for an entire Boys & Girls Club site and fund a summer filled with enriching science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities.

Club Blue Baton Rouge works tirelessly to create meaningful relationships between local young professionals and Boys & Girls Club members through mentorship programs, seasonal events, and fundraising efforts. Each year, Perkins McKenzie sponsors Club Blue's Great Futures Gala to raise money to support these important programs. The agency hosts a toy and gift drive to make sure that every club member has a plentiful and joy-filled holiday season.

Throughout 2025, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications showcasing their commitment to a specific cause.
