MMR Named Largest Electrical Contractor in Region

Discover how MMR's exceptional performance has led to its recognition as the largest electrical contractor in the region.

BATON ROUGE, LA –MMR is the largest electrical contractor in the region and largest specialty contractor in Louisiana according to the Top Specialty Contractors List released by Engineering News-Record of Texas & Louisiana. MMR received these designations, in addition to several other prominent rankings, and is featured in an article accompanying the list. ENR Top Specialty Contractor rankings include firms located in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Texas.

“It is a tremendous honor to be regarded as the largest electrical contractor in the region and largest specialty contractor in Louisiana,” said MMR President/CEO James B. “Pepper” Rutland. “As we move into 2023, we anticipate sustained growth and success fueled by the core values of safety and quality instilled in our workforce.”
MMR was also named the third-largest specialty contractor in the region and third highest-performing specialty firm by value of work worldwide. The annual listing positions firms using revenue earned the previous year. In 2021, firms named in the distinguished list earned a combined revenue of $5.95 billion, with MMR totaling $442 million in regional revenue.

In addition to the rankings, the magazine highlights Rutland’s industry analyses and predictions for the new year and recognizes several projects MMR completed within the last year. This includes the Gulf Coast Growth Ventures (GCGV) project in Gregory, Tx., one of the world’s largest ethylene cracker plants, as well as the Calcasieu Pass LNG, one of the nation’s first greenfield LNG export projects, located in Cameron, La.
