Judge OKs St. Georges involvement in Baton Rouge annexations lawsuit (wbrz.com) — A local judge has ruled that the new city of St. George can remain a plaintiff in the ongoing lawsuit challenging business annexations into Baton Rouge, keeping the dispute alive for residents on both sides of the parish line. The case centers on whether East Baton Rouge Parish leaders illegally annexed businesses and roads into Baton Rouge after voters approved incorporating St. George, with future court proceedings set to decide the annexations' fate.
   

2. Amazon drones draw noise complaints in area neighborhoods (wafb.com) — Broadmoor and Goodwood residents in Baton Rouge are raising concerns about the constant buzzing from Amazon's new drone delivery flights operating out of the former Cortana Mall site. Neighbors say drones pass every few minutes and are loud even indoors, while Amazon insists the noise is brief and comparable to household sounds. Any change to routes would require FAA involvement, so residents are pressing for better balance with neighborhood peace.

Jennings, Baton Rouge concrete companies tackle Louisiana's construction surge by joining forces (1012industryreport.com) — Baton Rouge-based HRM Concrete is teaming up with Jennings' Port Aggregates and two out-of-state partners to form HPDC, a joint venture aimed at serving Louisiana's surge in mega-construction projects. For Baton Rouge residents, this could mean stronger support for local data centers, industrial builds, and infrastructure work, as the company leverages its Capital Region plants and truck fleet to handle larger, more complex jobs statewide.
