University of New England installs radar system to measure wave height in Saco Bay (sacobaynews.com) — Researchers are now using a new radar system in Saco Bay to measure wave heights and track how a new Army Corps spur jetty off the Saco Jetty affects erosion at Camp Ellis. UNE scientists, local advocates, and tech partners will combine radar, gauges, and buoys to better understand wave dynamics and help keep more sand on Camp Ellis beaches.
