Annapolis Man Flown to Hospital After Crash

An Annapolis man was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a one-car crash early Tuesday in Arnold.
Anne Arundel County Police say Eric Angelo Tyler Jr., 25, of Annapolis was driving a Mercedes E-320 about 12:13 a.m. on Shore Acres Road near Four Acres Court.

Investigators say Tyler’s Mercedes sedan was northbound on Shore Acres Road when it left the roadway, struck and severed a utility pole and then overturned.
Tyler was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries.

According to authorities, the preliminary cause of the collision appears to be the driver’s failure to remain in a single lane, likely due to excessive speed.
