Community College Donates Critical Coronavirus Fighting Supplies

Anne Arundel Community College staff gathered up much-needed supplies and donated them to hospitals to use in the fight against coronavirus.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — As hospitals on the front line of fighting the new coronavirus pandemic watch lifesaving medical supplies dwindle, people are stepping up to help. Some are making face masks at home for those not in direct contact with patients to wear. Others are donating valuable N95 face masks for patient care providers to use.

While school is closed at Anne Arundel Community College, employees there have been gathering up supplies that students had been using to donate to Anne Arundel Medical Center, just in case.

"At the heart of AACC’s mission is to respond to the ever-changing needs of our community,” said Dan Baum, AACC executive director of strategic communications. “This is one example among many of how we are responding to help our community come through this together.”
