Pie Shop Closes Anne Arundel County Location, Says COVID-19 Was Biggest Obstacle
A pie shop closed its Anne Arundel County location. The business opened in 2020 and said the pandemic was its greatest challenge.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Maryland pie shop closed its Annapolis location recently. The business, Dangerously Delicious Pies, announced the news Sunday on Facebook.
The bakers said the COVID-19 pandemic was their greatest challenge. Eye On Annapolis reported that the eatery opened on Nov. 11, 2020. The shop was scheduled to build out its space earlier that year, but coronavirus shutdowns disrupted those plans.
"Our biggest regret is that we were never able to open our shop as we had dreamt it to be," Dangerously Delicious Pies wrote on Facebook. "We worked tirelessly to get past the obstacles, but we just couldn’t get the rock up the hill."

Dangerously Delicious Pies thanked its customers for their support. It also applauded its workers for their service. The employees all found jobs last week, which is "a testament to how great they truly are."
The owners will miss their neighborhood in the Annapolis Arts District. Located at 212-214 West Street, the staff grew to love their regulars and new customers.

"We fell in love with the Annapolis Arts District years ago as it resembled the neighborhoods of our other shops … a vibrant neighborhood of families, mom & pop shops, restaurants, and galleries," the bakers said. "It felt like home."
The two Baltimore locations of Dangerously Delicious Pies will remain open. The business has a shop in Canton and a headquarters in Hampden.
These eateries will continue to serve their regular Anne Arundel County, Crofton, Kent Island and Severna Park farmer's markets in the coming weeks.
Dangerously Delicious Pies reminded Marylanders to support small businesses.
"The vibrancy of our neighborhoods and the small businesses within them are more delicate than outward appearances reveal," the owners said. "Please visit your favorite shop or check out a new restaurant as often as you can. Mom & Pop will thank you. And we thank you."
