Goddard School Opens New Day Care, Early Education Center In Annapolis

A new day care and early education center opened in Annapolis. The facility will serve dozens of infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

PAROLE, MD — The Goddard School opened a new day care and early education center in Parole on Jan. 24. The facility will serve 70 infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

The 7,800-square-foot space houses nine classrooms and a multipurpose room. The latest addition to the Annapolis Technology Park also features two outdoor playgrounds.

"This is a place where children can explore and discover music and art, learn how to communicate using sign language, and develop problem solving skills by learning how to play chess," The Goddard School said in a press release. "More importantly, there’s a targeted curriculum on social-emotional development meant to teach children how to be kind to themselves and to others."

The newest Goddard School is one of more than 570 franchises spread across 38 states. There are now 32 locations in Maryland and seven in Anne Arundel County. Two more are scheduled to open within a few weeks in New Market and North Bethesda.

The Annapolis site is Patel's first.

"Working side-by-side with the administration team to create the best Goddard experience for across her locations, Singh aims to create the same quality program at the Annapolis location," the release said. "Having lived in Maryland most of her life and being involved in her children’s education for many years, Patel is committed to providing a warm and nurturing environment with age-appropriate, fun, play-based curriculum."

The Goddard School is located at 304 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Suites A to C. It is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
