Upscale Italian Restaurant Opens In Annapolis, Offers Premier Wine Selection
An upscale Italian restaurant opened in the Annapolis Town Center. The chophouse specializes in thick steaks and premier wine.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An upscale restaurant opened in Parole on Jan. 14. Situated in the Annapolis Town Center, the new Tuscan Prime Italian Chophouse & Dolce Bar prides itself on its meat and wine selections.
The latest eatery is part of the MONTE Restaurant Development Group, which was founded in Severna Park in 1997. The restaurant company also manages Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen, Squisito Pizza & Pasta as well as Squisito Too.
These brands have more than 13 locations across Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and Tennessee. Additional sites are opening soon in Delaware, New Jersey and New York.

"Opening Tuscan Prime Italian Chophouse has been a dream of owners Michele and Gennaro DiMeo for years and they could not be more proud of their new location, décor, staff and food," the eatery said on its website. "With prime steaks and chops, award winning Italian cuisine, over the top desserts to WOW, all paired perfectly with a masterfully crafted wine list, Tuscan Prime is the perfect addition to the food scene in Annapolis."
Customers can kick off their dining experience with an appetizer of crispy calamari ($17) or grilled octopus ($20).

The premier white wine is the Cakebread Cellars ($120 per bottle), a 2020 creation from Napa, California. The top red wine is the Odette Estate Reserve ($560 per bottle), a 2018 cabernet that's also from Napa. Patrons can similarly enjoy signature cocktails like Moscow Mules ($13) and Pisco Sours ($13).
Beef entrees feature the 10 oz. skirt steak ($36) and the 40 oz. porterhouse ($110). The lobster ravioli ($26) and the squid ink linguini ($37) are a few pasta options. Other dishes include the salmon ($29) and the veal chop ($59).
For dessert, there's everything from the campfire s'mores sundae to ($17) to the tiramisu ($10).
"Gennaro DiMeo has worked diligently to perfect the menu while highlighting the elevated Italian classics, authentic recipes from his home town of Naples, and the best cuts of meats," the website said. "Michele DiMeo’s knowledge of wine, alongside the skilled staff and sommelier, created an award winning wine list that is guaranteed to impress."
Tuscan Prime is located at 1905 Towne Centre Blvd., Suite 100. It is open daily from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
