Alongside Broadneck, Broadwater, and Cox Creek plants, the recognition highlights years of flawless operations that protect waterways, public health, and overall quality of life throughout the Annapolis area.
   

4. Man duct-taped on plane speaks out after arrest (newsnationnow.com) — A passenger accused of disruptive behavior that forced an American Airlines flight to divert to Baltimore later appeared in court in Annapolis, where he said he doesn't remember the incident. The 67-year-old Arizona man faces assault and disorderly conduct charges, was released on his own recognizance, and is scheduled for trial in District Court next month.
   

5. Ex-Annapolis (MD) Deputy Chief Appointed as 1st Black State Fire Marshal (firefighternation.com) — A former Annapolis deputy fire chief, Caroll H. Spriggs II, has been appointed Maryland's state fire marshal, becoming the first Black person to hold the role in the agency's 132-year history. His long career includes leadership in Prince George's County, Annapolis, and federal bomb squad work, and he'll now oversee fire investigations and prevention efforts statewide.
