Veteran From Bin Laden Raid To Attend Navy Football Event On 9/11

A SEAL from the Osama bin Laden raid will represent his brewery at a Navy football tailgate on 9/11. The veteran said he killed bin Laden.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A former Navy SEAL from the Osama bin Laden raid will attend a Navy football tailgate on Saturday to represent his brewery, Armed Forces Brewing Company. The event comes exactly two decades after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The veteran, Robert O'Neill, claims he fired the shot that killed the al-Qaeda leader who orchestrated 9/11.

“I‘m thrilled that Rob will be able to join us at the Navy-Air Force game this weekend and help us pay homage to the victims of the 9/11 attack on its 20th anniversary,” brewery CEO Alan Beal said in a press release. “It’s fitting that we will be doing this around a college football game between two of our great American military academies.”

The brewery is known for its support and employment of veterans. It has four brands, each dedicated to different military branches. Those are divisions are:

  • Seawolf (Navy and Coast Guard)
  • Soldier (Army)
  • Airmen (Air Force and Space Force)
  • Jarhead (Marine Corps)

The beer is sold in stores across Maryland, Virginia and Rhode Island. Customers can also buy it online in 46 states.

O'Neill invested in the business last summer and bought partial ownership. The former SEAL Team 6 operator is now the company's national brand ambassador and director of military relations.

From 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., O'Neill will visit the Seawolf Brewery tent in the Navy Fest area. That is on Taylor Avenue near Gate 5 of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

The U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen will then take on the U.S. Air Force Academy Falcons at 3:30 p.m. CBS will air the match-up nationwide.

The Mids will sport special uniforms for the contest. The threads will honor the U.S. Marine Corps.

After the game, O'Neill will head to a brewery party from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. That celebration will take place at Heroes Pub, located at 1 Riverview Avenue in Annapolis.

Seawolf Special Hops IPA and Cat Shot Lager will be available at the tailgate and the party.
