Lottery Jackpot Won By Retired Firefighter In Anne Arundel County
A retired firefighter hit a lottery jackpot in Anne Arundel County. The 62-year-old won millions of dollars on a scratcher at Royal Farms.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A retired firefighter recently won a $2 million jackpot on a scratch-off that he bought in Millersville.
The anonymous winner and Crownsville resident was playing the $2,000,000 Gold Rush game at Royal Farms #098, located at 8200 Veterans Highway.
The winner made a random stop at the gas station convenience store. He had previously played the $30 scratch-off, so he decided to give it another try and he ultimately became a millionaire.

The 62-year-old was scheduled to see his cardiologist for a stress test on the day of his win. He canceled the appointment, however, because his heart was racing from excitement and wouldn't give an accurate base reading.
The victor and his wife plan to use the prize money to pay off bills, save and invest. The winnings may also fund a vacation and help their grandchildren.
